Child functioning is measured at admission and discharge from EMQ services. Maladaptive behavior
is measured across areas such as moods, behavior towards others, and role performance at home, at
school, and in the community. The average change in score decreased a total of 20 points, demonstrating
a significant improvement in functioning. Overall, 71% of the youth experienced a positive change in functioning.
Caregivers rate the behavior of youth upon admission and discharge. Caregivers rate severity
of behavior across emotional, behavioral, and social dimensions using the CBCL. For the agency
as a whole, caregivers reported that 59% of youth had a positive change of behavior. On average,
caregivers rated the youths as having a significant increase in positive behaviors from Entry to
Discharge.
I felt that there is hope today when I thought that there was none when this started.
