The first day of school is quickly approaching. Anticipation for a new school year can mean excitement, but it can also mean anxiety. In our community there are children in crisis who have endured social, physical, and emotional hardships and need our community’s help. If this suffering goes unaddressed, the cycle of abuse, addiction, homelessness, and mental illness will continue to put a strain on already scant government services. We are committed to doing whatever it takes for these children.  EMQ FamiliesFirst has effective programs in place providing around the clock residential care; connections with lost family members; art and music therapy; school-based services that work with teachers and counselors to identify and educate at-risk children; and a Crisis Team that responds to psychiatric emergencies wherever they may occur.
