$110,000 Award to Benefit Addiction Prevention and Mobile Crisis Programs
EMQ FamiliesFirst has been awarded a $110,000 grant from the
El Camino Hospital Community Benefit Program to support our Addiction Prevention Service (APS)
and Child and Adolescent Mobile Crisis Program to support and educate at-risk youth and their families in Santa Clara County.
"We are very grateful for the funding from El Camino Hospital that supports us in providing these two vital programs to the community," said Darrell Evora, president and CEO of EMQ FamiliesFirst.
"Together, we’re committed to helping our most vulnerable children and families."
With this grant, the APS program expands its school-based services to five schools in the Campbell Union High School District. APS provides prevention, intervention and treatment services
weekly to identified youth who face such pressing issues as bullying, substance abuse, depression and suicide. The goal of APS is to keep kids safe and in school.
Our Child & Adolescent Crisis Program is the only 24/7 mobile crisis intervention service for youth in Santa Clara County. The program helps families to find resources to keep their children
safe at home.
