You can help EMQ FamiliesFirst by volunteering your time (or your group's time) in a number of ways.
- Our auxiliaries provide a stable base of community support and raise over $500,000 annually to help our numerous programs. The Unicorn Thrift Shop, the Happy Dragon Thrift Shop, and the Butter Paddle Gift Shop are completely organized and run by our team of volunteers. Consider working part-time at one of the EMQ FamiliesFirst auxiliaries.
- Many of our children need a consistent role model that provides the one-on-one companionship and encouragement that is lacking in their lives. Mentoring a young child can be one of the most rewarding ways to give back to the community. Despite this, many of our children are on a waiting list because there aren’t enough caring adult mentors to meet our demand. Find out more about the EMQ FamiliesFirst Mentor Program.
- EMQ FamiliesFirst's Tennis Marathon offers a fun and easy way to raise money for our many children and family services. This round robin style tournament is played at many venues all over the South Bay, and includes women's singles and doubles open for all skill levels. Participate in our Tennis Marathon.
