I am pleased to inform you that Hollygrove has joined forces with FamiliesFirst, a highly respected nonprofit children’s agency based in Davis, Northern California. While we continue to be called Hollygrove in Los Angeles County, effective January 1, 2009, our corporate entity became EMQ FamiliesFirst.
Why did we merge? Quite simply, to better serve California’s children in crisis: the new organization will serve 18,000 children and their family members each year throughout northern, central and southern California. Joining together means we’ll have an even larger voice to advocate for children in need, and a wider array of cost-effective programs to offer families throughout the state.
Our mission – and our commitment – remain unchanged. We continue to do whatever it takes to help children, strengthen families, build community and advocate for systems change to ensure that families thrive.
EMQ FamiliesFirst is recognized for innovative mental health treatment, foster care and social services that help families recover from trauma, abuse, addiction, poverty and rebuild their lives. We fight for sustainable change and advocate for improvements in the local, state and federal systems that serve children in need.
