EMQ FamiliesFirst’s Foster Santa Continues Tradition of Giving Children Lasting Memories

Mona Graham Named 2012 Honorary Chairperson

SACRAMENTO, CA November 5, 2012 – EMQ FamiliesFirst, California’s largest children’s services charity, has helped make the holidays memorable for more than 35 years for over 200 children and families. The agency will host a Foster Santa event that provides new bicycles, helmets and locks to children who would otherwise go without this holiday season. Funded solely by private donations, Foster Santa is for children and families in the agency’s foster care and community-based services.

The Foster Santa event is a perfect example of community support. Local businesses in Sacramento including Blue Diamond, Union Pacific Railroad, and Monogram Communication Services have contributed to continue the Foster Santa program each year. Donations support the holiday celebrations and create positive memories for deserving children in the community.

Mona Graham, principal of Monogram Communication Services, is this year’s Foster Santa honorary chairperson. “There’s nothing like the sweet freedom of riding a bicycle. We believe that play is an essential part of childhood and that every child should get the chance to ‘just be a kid.’ That’s why it brings us great joy to participate in the Foster Santa Program with EMQ FamiliesFirst.”
