Ron Scott Joins State’s Largest Children’s Charity As Vice President of Human Resources

Brings More Than 30 Years of HR Expertise to EMQ FamiliesFirst 

Campbell, CA January 11, 2012 — EMQ FamiliesFirst today announced that Ron Scott has joined the organization as the Vice President of Human Resources. Ron has over 30 years experience as a human resources leader working with large and small organizations predominantly in healthcare. EMQ FamiliesFirst is California’s largest children’s social services agency.

“Ron’s depth of experience in HR is truly impressive and the agency is privileged to bring him on board,” said Darrell Evora, president and CEO of EMQ FamiliesFirst.

Before joining EMQ FF, Ron was VP, Human Resources for St. Joseph Health System, Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa, California for more than a decade. There, he provided labor and employee relations, benefits programs, education, recruitment and employee retention, employee health and retention programs to nearly 1,700 employees. Previous HR positions include VP of HR at Catholic Healthcare West, San Jose Medical Group, HR director at El Camino Hospital and several posts within the U.S. Navy.

Ron holds a B.S. degree in Business Concentration in Human Resources from San Jose State University and a SPHR Certification from the Society for Human Resource Management. Memberships in professional organizations include the Northern California Human Resources Association, HealthCare Human Resources Management, and Community Watch, Roseville. He has also been a keynote speaker and trainer on such topics as “Six Secrets to Employee Retention, Handling the Problem Employee” and “Leadership in a Team Environment.” He is a resident of Fairfield, California.
