Seven volunteers who signed up through the NBC Bay Area Proud community service campaign helped plant flowers and vegetables at EMQ FamiliesFirst in Campbell to help beautify the campus. In three hours, the volunteers
- planted tomatoes, squash, and parsley in the vegetable garden
- removed weeds and planted 75 flowers in various flower beds near the main entrance and foster care building
- planted 10 decorative garlic plants near the kitchen
Thanks go to these volunteers who came from all over the Bay Area to help with much-needed garden projects.
Thanks to the NBC Bay Area crew who did part of their broadcast at EMQ FamliesFirst in order to show the volunteers hard at work. For more photos of the volunteer event, go to the NBC Bay Area website.
