Sacramento Mayor and former NBA star, Kevin Johnson visited teens who are in the 24/7 residential program at the Davis campus. He spoke between the basketball activities at the programs ‘Olympics’ event. The mayor’s message to the kids encouraged them to work together, get along, and to have fun!
For over 15 years, EMQ FamiliesFirst has hosted an annual ‘Olympics’ event at their residential treatment campus in Davis. With the philosophy of “every child wins, ” the two-week long series of sporting events helps build self esteem and teaches respect, teamwork, and camaraderie among the kids who call EMQ FamiliesFirst “home.”
