EMQ's staff of highly qualified child and adolescent psychiatrists specializes in treating children and adolescents with serious emotional disorders and their families. As members of the treatment team, our psychiatrists perform evaluations and prescribe medication.

The quality of EMQ's services has made us a leader in behavioral and mental health issues for children and adolescents. Trained EMQ staff always focus on treating the whole person-providing individualized assessments and treatment plans that include the child's and family's sociocultural context.

Through pro-active, timely, multi-disciplinary treatment planning, which includes the child and parents or guardians, a child and family team works to provide structure, build linkages in families, involve the extended family in therapy, and always view children, adolescents and families within the context of the ethnic and cultural history. We continuously strive to build trusting relationships with families from various cultures and work collaboratively and creatively with key community systems and fellow providers.
